Ground Floor

It's 02:58 at Marrow Tower.

You're the night inspector sent to certify Lift 2. The last inspector never filed his report.

Every floor is the same hallway. Eight rooms. Six wall lamps. Three paintings. A clock that should be ticking forward. A stairwell with a red EXIT sign that should say EXIT. And at the far end, a second lift.

Walk the hall. Check it against your clipboard.

If nothing is wrong, take the far lift down. If anything is wrong, turn back.

One mistake and the lift brings you back up to floor 10.

Get ten floors right in a row to reach the ground floor. The building is patient. It only needs you to be wrong.
